It is with a very heavy heart that i update this for the Kemp/Dekeyser family:

Malakai Finished the Race

With a heart beyond broken I share the news that my precious son, Malakai Aaron Kemp, went to be with his Lord and Savior at 5:11 pm PT yesterday, November 4th, 2025. He was 17 years old.

Kai bravely endured much suffering during these many months of treatment. But because he had trusted in Christ as his Savior, he is now without pain, fully healed, and fully alive:

"Jesus said...l am the resurrection and the life.

Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live" John 11:25

Please understand our need for some space and privacy as we grieve this unbelievable loss.

Because the events of yesterday came on quickly and unexpectedly, we have yet to plan a memorial service for Malakai, but will share details when they become available.

Malakai was a sweet 17-year-old who has always been known for his kindness and his passion for baseball and music. For years, he was a dedicated player on the field and a talented musician, writing his own songs and playing guitar. His creativity and spirit have touched many in our community.

. We're raising funds to help cover all medical expenses his family has and to give Malakai the proper send off he deserves.
