Support Malachi's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
UPDATE: It has been six months since the accident, and the financial strain on the family has really taken a toll. They have now lost everything! The family of five and their dog are currently living in a hotel after losing their home and everything in it, outside of their clothes and shoes. My friend is a very humble person and does not like to ask for help, but she is at her wits-end right now and really needs some assistance. Malachi, her son, is still recovering, however, she is having to cancel doctor appointments because she can't afford to take him. There are many other specialists that he needs to see, from neurologists to therapists, but at this time, everything is being delayed while she tries to get funds together for a new place for her family to stay. As one could imagine, living in a hotel is very expensive and is only causing her to fall deeper into a hole. She is also unable to purchase groceries and has been living off of food banks. In addition, please understand that she is not just looking for a handout, she is currently working a full time job and has recently picked up a second job to try to catch up as much as possible, but she needs immediate help. Many thanks to everyone who previously donated, and kept this family in their thoughts and prayers. We are hoping that you can find in it your heart again to help in any way that you can.

A friend's son was recently hit by a semi truck and she is in need of some help. Please read her story below:

On Sunday, November 10, 2024, my 9-year-old and 10-year-old sons were visiting with a family friend. During this visit, my boys and a group of kids walked to a convenience store. On the way back from the store, my 9-year-old, Malachi, was struck by a semi truck. He was rushed to the local hospital where, en route, he experienced two seizures. After being stabilized, he was life-flighted to Duke Hospital. My son now has several facial fractures, a skull fracture, bleeding on his brain, and a severe concussion. I thank God every second that my baby is still here with us today.

The scariest part was when he finally started waking up. He woke up thinking that he was still in the moment of the accident... scared and not knowing anything... fighting and screaming but calling on the name of Jesus... asking God to help him. My boy is a fighter!

While he is progressing well, considering the circumstances of the accident, he still has a long road to recovery. As a result, I've not been able to go to work because I can't leave him alone, and I also have other kids that I need to take care of. With the temporary loss of income, any help that you could provide would be more than greatly appreciated. I would also ask that you please keep my child in your prayers and thoughts.
