Support Malachi's Hospice Care & (eventual) Funerary Costs

This go-fund me is for the Brodbeck-Kenney family: Malachi, Kirsten, and C (their 9-year old daughter)
As some of you might be aware, Malachi is in hospice due to a very aggressive cancer. Mal has exceeded the expiration date set by his doctors and is blessed with "bonus days". However, while Mal is still alive-and-kicking, he does need additional care. Kirsten is by herself, and could use help in securing a licensed caregiver to help her while she cares for Mal & C.
There is already a hospice nurse helping Mal, but they do not provide non-medical care. Licensed caregivers are NOT necessary nurses. (Read more about caregivers in Oregon)
Licensed Caregivers can do many things including: helping dispense medication, clean the house, run errands, cook, help bath patients, etc., etc, but they also must be paid. A caregiver can help Kirsten by taking a lot labor off her plate so she can focus on the most important thing -- her Family.
This go-fund me would go towards in paying for a caregiver AND a funerary fund for whenever it is time for Mal to pass. Left over monies would go to help Kirsten & C for their future without Mal.
Why this amount?
- Caregivers typically cost $30-$40 per hour. We hope Mal continues to have bonus days for a while, but this can cost a lot of money.
- Average funerary costs run $7,000-10,000
