Support Makora's Exchange Year in Belgium
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Makora Stacey, and I’m a sophomore at Homestead High School in Fort Wayne, IN. I’m incredibly excited and honored to have been selected for the Rotary Youth Exchange program, where I’ll be spending the 2025-2026 school year in Belgium.
Many people have asked me why I chose to spend my junior year abroad. I’ve always had a deep passion for French language and culture, and I believe that total immersion is the best way to become autonomous. By living in Belgium, I’ll not only gain autonomy in the language but also develop a broader global perspective that will help shape my future.
However, as you can imagine, spending a full year abroad comes with significant costs. To help make this dream a reality, I am aiming to raise $5,000 to cover airfare, travel, and academic expenses. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful impact and help me participate in this life-changing experience.
Thank you so much for considering supporting my journey!
