Texas is in crisis with an estimated over one million stray dogs and cats suffering in the streets without adequate food, water, and shelter.

Since 2021 we have been working to do everything we can to help as many of these animals as possible. Working countless hours, dedicating our entire lives to our rescue we have saved over 3,000 dogs in just over four years and numerous cats too. All of this after losing our own sweet dog Jack-Jack who went missing when the wind blew our front door open.

After looking for months and trying to find him we discovered just how horrible and dire the situation is in Texas for street animals. Dumped, abused, and neglected we found dogs who were shot, stabbed, ran over by cars, and more. We have seen the diseases, mites, parasites, and other ailments that leave these dogs clinging to life.

With hundreds of dogs already in foster and thousands more on the streets needing help in Central Texas we have grown to a point where we need a location to provide these dogs what they need. Not a shelter, not a place where dogs go into cages to be forgotten but a place where dogs can learn to be loved and learn what it means to be part of a family.

Losing Jack-Jack crushed us. It broke our hearts, but it also inspired us to make a difference and to dedicate ourselves completely to helping as many animals as we can and we have reached a point where the best way for us to accomplish that is having somewhere for these animals to go.

Over the past few months, we have been looking and working towards finding a property that offers the best chance for us to immediately provide a safe place for our rescues to hit the ground and feel like they are somewhere that will enable them to not just survive but thrive.

We believe we have found that place and now we need your help to continue our work towards raising the funds necessary for us to make this dream a reality.

On nearly 43 acres this property has room for us to grow, has space for the dogs to go on pack walks, and offers distance from outside noise and triggers that can make dogs feel stressed. With numerous individual dog condos set up and plenty of space for future buildings to be put in, this property offers the chance for our organization to take the next step towards rescue freedom. There is even an area for cats.

Right now, when a dog is in need on the street, we are only able to assist if we are able to find a foster to commit to keeping the dog on a long-term basis. This leaves dogs in need battling against the clock and at the mercy of us finding a foster in time before anything bad happens. This is stressful for the community, our team, and most importantly for the dogs themselves and we have to find a better way.

With the safe haven we will be able to help more dogs in need and be able to ensure they have the time to find a foster or forever home in a safe environment rather than waiting on the streets. This also will be a place for a certain set number of dogs that are not domesticated enough to go to Foster. Our family has had great success with tough cases.

With shelters over capacity and turning dogs away there has to be a better option available for suffering dogs in need and that is exactly what the safe haven will be. Spay and neutering is always the way, but where do those dogs go once they’re fixed?

Now there are no guarantees that we will get this specific property at this point but the sooner we are able to raise funds the sooner we can put in an offer and hopefully get under contract. If we are unable to raise the funds in time and the property goes to someone else, we of course will use the funds raised through this campaign solely for the purpose of purchasing a safe haven when we find one that will meet the needs of our amazing rescues.

We know that together we can achieve this. Think of the thousands of dogs we have saved so far and now imagine what we will be able to do for the dumped, abused, and neglected dogs of Texas once we get a true safe haven in place!
