Hello, I’m Adaline. I’ve created this gofundme on behalf of my sister-in-law Makenzie Rynn. As many of you are aware, doctors found cancer in various parts of Makenzie’s abdomen in late May after months of doctor’s visits attempting to address chronic pain. She underwent invasive surgery to remove her tumors and was diagnosed with stage 4 abdominal melanoma on June 27th. Since then, she has braved a painful recovery process, been given her first dose of immunotherapy and undergone a round of radiation treatment in an effort to shrink the tumors that had returned in her pelvis. The immunotherapy is not working fast enough, so Makenzie's treatment plan has been fast-tracked to chemo, followed by a clinical gene therapy trial. Makenzie’s strength, positivity, and determination have not wavered throughout her journey, and I believe she is incredibly deserving of all the love, acknowledgment and aid people want to offer. In light of this, I have created an avenue of accessibility for friends and family to support her. The money you donate will go toward therapies, the cost of medical devices and procedures, and the cost of living expenses until she can return to work as a mental health clinician.
