Makeely is a kind-hearted 18-year-old with a gentle soul, a love for motorbike riding and helping others through her traineeship as a phlebotomist. She's a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, friend, and colleague — and now she's facing the biggest challenge of her life.

On September 4th, 2025, Makeely was critically injured in a devastating car accident while riding as a passenger with a dangerous driver. The crash has left her with life-threatening injuries which require multiple surgeries to her legs, pelvis, chest and internal organs. She is currently receiving intensive treatment at the Royal Brisbane Hospital, far from her home and support network.

Her recovery will be long and complex, involving months of acute medical care and ongoing rehabilitation. As her family, we've created this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden and ensure Makeely has the support she needs every step of the way.
