Hi, my name is Makayla.

I’m creating this GoFundMe because the last few months have pushed me into one of the hardest seasons of my life, and I’m doing everything I can to stay strong for myself and my future.

Earlier this year, I made a huge sacrifice and moved in with someone I trusted so we could support each other. Instead, things took a turn, and when situations didn’t go her way, I was asked to leave with almost no warning. I had nowhere else to go but refused to give up. I ended up staying with a client-turned-friend who tried to help me, but on November 24th, their electricity was shut off due to a bill of over $800 — and now the rent there is also coming due.

At this point, I truly don’t know where I’ll be laying my head from day to day. I’ve experienced different kinds of homelessness since 2023… from sleeping in cars to couches to wherever safety could be found. I’ve been trying so hard to keep up my work as a mobile stylist, stay positive, and rebuild my life, but without a stable place to stay or reliable transportation, it’s become almost impossible.

I’m asking for help raising money so I can get:

• A reliable car to continue my hair services and maintain income

• A stable place to stay while I get back on my feet

This isn’t easy for me to ask, but I know that sometimes God works through people. Anything you’re able to donate — no matter the size — will bring me closer to safety, stability, and a fresh start. And if you can’t donate, sharing this means just as much.
