It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Makayla Daniel's passing. After a courageous battle, she succumbed to the effects of an overdose while on life support. Makayla was more than just a friend, a daughter, a sister, a mother, and a granddaughter; she was a radiant soul whose independence, perseverance, and caring nature touched many lives.
Makayla was known for her unwavering compassion, her incredible sense of humor, and her fierce loyalty. Her courage, strength, and empathy shone brightly, especially in her role as a mother of 2. She loved her beautiful daughters dearly and fought tirelessly for them. Despite the cunning, baffling, and powerful grip of addiction, Makayla never gave up. Her spirit remained unbroken, even as the disease took its toll. Addiction is a disease that affects everyone involved, and Makayla’s struggle reminds us of the importance of support, understanding, and compassion.
Makayla’s family needs our help. We are unsure of the date(s) of her service, memorial, and/or funeral at this time, but we will update this fundraiser as soon as the family decides on the arrangements. In the meantime, please consider donating to help ease the financial burden on her family during this incredibly difficult time. Any donation, no matter the size, will make a difference. If you are unable to donate, please share this fundraiser to spread the word and awareness. All proceeds will go directly to her grandfather, who, along with her mother, siblings, and countless friends, is experiencing a pain no one should ever have to endure. Let’s come together to lift up Makayla’s family and honor her memory. Let her legacy live on as a testament to the impact she had on all of us. She will always be remembered and loved.
