I’m hoping to help ease some financial burden for one of my closest friends of 11 years and counting. Makaylah is incredibly selfless and caring, and puts her family above all else. Her and Memo’s family have had a very challenging year, to say the least.

Earlier this year, Miguel (6 years old) started experiencing symptoms and pain throughout his body that so far don’t have many answers. In order to get the best care possible, they’ve had to travel to and from UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento countless times, with many more future visits scheduled. Unfortunately, they don’t have a reliable car to get them back and forth multiple times a month, so they’ve had to resort to rental cars and borrowing family cars. On top of that, they have to pay for places to stay overnight, food, and gas. Not to mention they also have a 3 year old and a 9 month old to take care of through all this.

This past week, their dog had to have an emergency c-section after going through a very tough labor that she couldn’t finish on her own. Due to this being so sudden and unexpected, they’ve had to use most of their money that was saved for Miguel’s appointments to pay the vet bill for their sweet girl, Prim.

All of this doesn’t even scrape the surface of hardship this family has experienced and I could go on, but without sharing too much about their situation, I’m asking for anyone who can find it in their heart to donate to this sweet family. For as long as I’ve known them, Makaylah and Memo would not hesitate to give the shirt off their backs to someone in need.
