Hi everyone! My name is Makayla, and this summer my twin sister, Mackenzie and I have the amazing opportunity to serve with A Christian Ministry in the National Parks (ACMNP) at Lake Powell, Arizona at Wahweap Resort.

During the summer, many seasonal workers in national parks are international students from all over the world, and many of them have never heard the Gospel. Our role will be to build friendships with these students and workers through relational ministry, sharing the love of Christ and creating meaningful connections. Our hope is that some of them will come to know Jesus and take that hope back home to their families and communities.

While serving there, our team will also hold morning and evening church services every Sunday for both park employees and visitors. There will be five girls serving together at Lake Powell, including my twin sister and I, which makes this opportunity even more special.

We will also be working full-time jobs in the park to help cover housing and food. My sister and I have been working in Oil City and Indiana, PA while being full-time college students to save for this opportunity.

Before the summer begins, we will be traveling to Denver, Colorado for training in April, and we are both responsible for covering our program deposits and flight costs. We are raising support to help with these expenses.
