Aloha ‘ohana & friends,

We are reaching out with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits to ask for your support for Maka, our beloved matriarch, sister, aunty, and friend. Maka has been diagnosed with five meningiomas (tumors in the brain lining), two of which are significantly large. She is scheduled to undergo two complex craniotomy surgeries on February 4 and 5 to remove the tumors and begin her journey to recovery.

As you can imagine, this diagnosis and the upcoming surgeries have placed a tremendous emotional and financial strain on Maka and our family. The road ahead will include not only the surgeries but also an extended recovery period, during which she will need rest, care, and specialized support.

We are raising funds to help cover the mounting medical expenses, including the cost of the surgeries, hospital stays, follow-up care, and any additional treatments she may need. Your donations will also help provide much-needed support for her day-to-day living expenses during this time, allowing her to focus solely on healing.

Maka is the heart and soul of our family—a source of unwavering strength, love, and light. As our matriarch, she has always been there for us, and for so many of you as well. Her generosity, compassion, and dedication to those around her have touched countless lives, and now she needs our love and support more than ever.
