Hi, my name is Makala, and I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Counseling.

I’m reaching out because I’ve hit an unexpected financial roadblock. This summer, I was denied financial aid, despite consistently using loans to cover my previous semesters. Additionally, my car was recently totaled in a flash flood, making this season especially overwhelming.

I’ve worked hard to stay on track in my graduate program, and I’m deeply committed to becoming a licensed counselor. My passion lies in supporting youth, college students, and underserved communities, particularly those impacted by trauma, systemic barriers, and mental health challenges. Your support will help me stay enrolled this summer and continue the journey toward serving the clients I care so much about.
