Support Maite's Dream to Honor Her Dad

My name is Maite, and I am a first-year college student with a dream to make a difference in the world. I am proud to say that I have recently been accepted into the Radiation program at MCPHS for my bachelor’s degree. It feels like I am living in a dream, and I can hardly believe that I have made it this far. Getting accepted was just the first step, but now I face the challenge of financing my education, which makes me feel nervous.

Currently, I work at a non-profit organization that helps animals, and this job has taught me the importance of compassion and service. My family has a strong background in medicine, and I have always enjoyed helping people. It feels like a natural path for me to follow, and I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to the health and well-being of others through my studies.

My journey to this point has not been easy. I faced many challenges while pursuing my associate degree, but I was determined to succeed. I graduated with honors, which was a proud moment for me. However, I had to pause my education for five years due to difficult circumstances, including financial struggles and the heartbreaking loss of my dad. Losing him was incredibly hard, and it made me realize how important it is to honor his legacy by completing my education. I promised him that I would finish school, and I am committed to keeping that promise.

Now, my mom is also very sick, which adds to my worries. I am reaching out for help to cover the remaining costs of my education that scholarships won’t cover. This is my only opportunity to get back on track with my life, and I want to focus on my studies without the constant stress of financial burdens. I have applied for grants and scholarships, but unfortunately, I have not had much luck.

The amount I am requesting below is to help cover the next four years of my education. I truly believe that with the right support, I can excel in my program and make a positive impact in the world.
