Support Maisy's Recovery from Sudden Paralysis
Donation protected
My cat Maisy, who has been a part of my life and family for about 7 years, suddenly lost the ability to move her back legs. She had been running around and playing normally, then we woke up one morning and she could not move her back end and had been scooting around only using her front legs.
We rushed to the vet, and while we’re still waiting on full diagnostics, the doctors think it could be something very serious, like a spinal injury, blood clot, or a neurological issue. These conditions require urgent treatment, and in some cases, surgery, medication, or specialist care.
Unfortunately, the cost of tests, emergency vet visits, and possible treatment is overwhelming, and our family cannot afford it right now. I’m going to be unable to work as I’m going to have to stay home and take care of her while my mom is working.
We are doing everything we can to keep her healthy and safe for now until we are able to afford the treatment she needs. I hate to reach out and ask for money like this, but we truly have no other option. If you have pets, please try and understand how we feel in this situation. Every dollar, share, or kind word helps more than I can express. Maisy has been a part of our lives for so long and we would hate for anything horrible to happen to her.
Thank you for taking the time to read and for caring. Even if you can’t donate, please share this with others who might be able to help.
