*Hi, I know the vast majority of people who read this know me and/or Noah my late husband, Maisie’s late Daddy.
*I'm quite embarrassed to have to ask for this help, but it’s come to the point the financial help is needed-for Maisie.
*Maisie has to be in Pittsburgh for college(COPA) in less than 10 Days to move in to the dorms & starts classes the following week.
*Good news is, due to her chronic migraines with cyclical vomiting-she’s in the building with the bathroom IN the dorm room AND one of her best friends is her roommate! So that’s comforting for us all.
**NOTE: Due to my chronic health conditions (my neurological vestibular disease & need of double knee replacement) I CANNOT go with her to help move her in & see her off. )
(*im a total wreck about it but this isn’t about that.PTSD etc)
*Which means my parents will be going by train (which is safer since they are 76 & 88 years old) & get a hotel. I am SO grateful they’re able to be there with her!
*The point of this Go Fund Me*
*Noahs (Grammy & Grampy) parents are paying her tuition which we are SO grateful for thatesp because the tuition is crazy expensive-even with her partial scholarship & FASFA assistance.
*My parents were able to pay for some items Maisie picked out (for the dorm etc & necessities for herself. But unfortunately much more is needed.
*The university sent out a list of recommended items for dorm living only last Friday (with & without in dorm bathroom/shower/tub)
*She will need some uncommon items for her classes due to her major(Theater Production) like & some typical that we have some of already.
- hard hat (unused) hammer etc
also items like
- toiletries
- fans>no AC in her dorm & doubles as a sound machine for her. 2 people in 199 square-foot room no AC. Yikes. Having POTS its fanS with a hard “S”
- trash can
- trash bags (large & small for vomiting flair ups)
- cleaning supplies
- hangers
- pillows
- bedding (she’s gotten this)
- slippers
- Dust buster
- cupe/plates/bowls
- first aid kit
- laundry Basket
- deterget
- toaster
- air fryer
- electric tea kettle/keurig
*And the list goes on.
That’s just some of the things she still needs.
+Also her roommate has a small fridge they can share until she can afford to buy one of her own. And a few other things they can share.
*Thankfully I’ll have my food stamps deposit couple days before she leaves so she will be able to get some food items.
***In closing I have to say, I completely understand that just about everyone is having hard times financially and otherwise……Having financial difficulties on top of my debilitating and chronic disease? PTSD etc isn’t fun BUT I HAVE TO do whatever I can to help Maisie’s transition away from home AND as my Velcro child , (I’m Velcro mom too obviously)
