Hello dear family and friends, We are Maira’s daughters, Rosie and Daisy. Some of you may already know, our mom is currently battling cancer. While she continues to face it with incredible strength and courage, the financial weight of medical care has become overwhelming. People who know our mom know how dedicated, hardworking, giving, warm-hearted, and involved she has always been with family, friends and her second family at PS1 and PAZ. She is the kind of person who is always ready to lend a helping hand, show up when someone needs support, and care for others without hesitation. Between treatments, appointments, travel, medications, and time away from work, the costs add up quickly. Right now, her focus truly needs to be on healing - not worrying about how to cover medical bills or everyday living expenses while going through treatment.

We had previously created a GoFundMe, but kept it private and shared it only with a small circle. After publicly thanking those who helped on Facebook, we were truly astonished by how much love and support surrounds her. Many family members and friends reached out saying they wished they had known so they could help as well. Because of that, we decided to make this fundraiser public so anyone who wishes can support our dear mother during this time. All funds raised will go directly toward medical expenses, transportation to and from appointments, and basic necessities during this time.
