Help Maile Rebuild After Devastating North Shore Oahu Floods

If you live on the North Shore, chances are you know Maile—or you know someone who does.

Maile is one of the hardest-working, most trusted house cleaners in our community. She treats every home as her own. Through word of mouth and true aloha for the families she serves, she’s built a reputation that stretches across Haleiwa and beyond. I am one of her very appreciative clients as she regularly takes care of my personal home and animals

Right now, she needs our help!

Over the past two weeks, Maile and her husband Kai have endured three separate flood events here on the North Shore. With the recent storms hitting Haleiwa hard, the water rose fast. On the night of March 19th, it came in so quickly they had no time to evacuate.

They lost both of their vehicles, including the van Maile depends on for her cleaning business — her livelihood. Their home has been hit hard, with inches of thick mud left behind as the waters recede. They also lost personal belongings and, heartbreakingly, some of their beloved pets.

Maile is someone whose entire business is to care for other’s homes. Now it’s our turn as a community to show up for her and Kai.

We know there are many families across the North Shore facing hardship from these storms, and every situation matters. If you’re able, any amount you can give here helps us spread a little more Aloha and make a real impact for Maile and her family during this difficult time.

All funds raised will go directly to them - helping them replace her work van, begin restoring their home, replace essential items, and get through this incredibly difficult time as they rebuild.
