Support Mai-Lani's Battle Against Cancer

In May 2024, Mai-Lani - a beautiful mother of two sons, Camaron and Reilly, whom she adores, a devoted wife to her husband, John, her perfect teammate in life, as well as, a kick-ass friend anyone would be very lucky to have - received news that no one wants to hear: YOU HAVE CANCER!

Mai-Lani has been diagnosed with an inoperable, rare form of cancer. On Monday, July 1, 2024, she will undergo a procedure to have a chemo port implanted. Then begin an aggressive treatment regimen on Monday, July 15, 2024, that will include a combination of chemotherapy and radiation and last 7 weeks.

With this diagnosis comes life-altering changes. During treatment and recovery, she will be unable to work. Mai-Lani and her family rely on her income to get by each month. Not only does this devastating diagnosis bring a loss of income, it also brings new expenses including travel expenses to and from Dr. appointments and medical procedures, along with medical bills.

In addition, Mai-Lani is a very present mom to her son Reilly, who is highly involved in sports and extracurricular activities. Both of which come with their own set of costs. These could now become a burden for Mai-Lani and John with the loss of one income and the added expenses.

We are asking for people who know and love Mai-Lani and her family to help support her in this unexpected time of need. Mai-Lani is one of the most selfless, caring, loving, perpetually upbeat and smiling persons I know. She would help out anyone in need - friend or stranger. Now she finds herself in a position hard for someone with her character traits - she needs help from others.

For a person like Mai-Lani, someone who is more comfortable being the helper than being the helped, it is humbling to be asking for help from others. However, she is such a deserving recipient of any help you can give. This money will go towards all the things Mai-Lani’s work income was used for, as well as, new financial expenses brought on by this diagnosis and the treatment and care required to fight it.

All Mai-Lani should have to focus on right now is fighting this fight and coming out of it victorious! She also needs to be able to rest and recover, unburdened by any other concerns; so, she can get back to normal life as soon as possible! Helping to relieve her of some of the financial burdens she will face because of this will go a long way in helping her fight this battle.
