Support Maiger Cha’s Family During Her Cancer Battle

Donation protected
Maiger Cha, my beautiful and amazing sister-in-law, is a wife and a loving mother of two little girls. She has always been a hard worker, big on keeping family together, and willing to help anyone out whenever they need her. We had hoped it wouldn't come to creating a GoFundMe for her little family, but unfortunately, due to setbacks in her medical treatments, she will be out on leave from work longer than originally planned.

It all began when Maiger was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer at just age 32. Imagine hearing that big C word when you are the mom of two little girls who need you in their lives—the news was devastating to her and her family. Her husband, Meng, is doing all he can to be the sole provider and caretaker for his famiy. Maiger's battle with cancer hasn't been easy, despite what she might show you. She continues to show up for everyone, helping with weddings, funerals, birthdays, and more, even when she is in pain or uncomfortable. She puts on a brave face every single day because she needs to be strong for her girls and to beat cancer. She keeps her mind busy as much as possible to avoid thinking about all the what-ifs.

Just when you think cancer was the worst of things, Maiger faced further health complications from the procedure to remove her cancerous tumor. During the surgery, the connection to her kidney was damaged, resulting in her needing a nephrostomy bag placed into her back with tubes. This bag constantly gets infected, and when it does, she is sent to the ER to manage extremely high fevers and other scary symptoms. She recently completed 6 out of what was supposed to be 12 rounds of chemo, but had another setback. She suffered a severe allergic reaction to her chemo on her 6th treatment. As a result, the doctor has to rethink her treatment plan. Now, with her unemployment funds possibly not being extended and only one reliable income from her husband, the bills are piling up. Other family members have supported her little family as much as they could, but they need some relief as well due to their own life expenses. Maiger will soon need to stay a week at Stanford for her surgery, and the money raised will help with her family's stay while there. It will also help provide them with funds to pay for regular day-to-day life expenses like food, gas, car payment, insurance, and more.

Maiger is a beautiful person inside and out who will always show up to help someone whenever they ask. She has never asked anyone for anything in return. Let's come together to support her beautiful little family! Please donate if you can and share this GoFundMe. Your support means the world to us.

You may also donate to her venmo and cashapp if you would rather do that instead.
