Hi, my name is Maia and I am a fine art photographer . On August 20th I suffered multiple strokes, that were caused by a tumor in my heart. I have an atrial myxoma attached to the septum in my left atrium and will be undergoing open-heart surgery to remove the tumor. The risk of recurring strokes is very high and my medical team is requiring me to stay close to the hospital in Albuquerque. As a result, I will not be able to return to my home in Taos until after September 18th.
I am required to stay close to the hospital until my surgery and can’t go home to Taos.
I have already been rehospitalized with another cluster of strokes which has affected my speech. With therapy but they expect me to make a 100% recovery within a year but it all takes time and money.
Please help me raise the funds to cover the medical and living expenses that are mounting fast.
