Hello, my name is Eden, I am a Palestinian liberation supporter from west Los Angeles. I have created this fundraiser on behalf of Mahmoud and his family, a determined young man from Gaza who wishes to rebuild his life from the rubble. This is his story (English translation below):

ساعدوا عائلة محمود على البقاء أنا محمود شاب من غزة عمري 20 عاماً قبل الحرب كنت أدير مشروعي الخاص لشبكات الإنترنت وأعيل عائلتي بكرامة اليوم وبعد سنتين من الحرب فقدنا منزلنا ومشروعي وكل ما كنت أملك أتوجه بالشكر الكبير لكل من وقف بجانبنا سابقاً فدعمكم كان هو السبب الوحيد لبقائنا على قيد الحياة وتأمين الطعام والماء لعائلتي في أصعب الظروف لكن الحقيقة أن المعاناة لا تزال مستمرة واقعنا اليوم رغم تغير شكل الحرب إلا أن القصف المتقطع لا يزال يهددنا والدمار الذي خلفته السنتان الماضيتان شل كل سبل العيش أولاً انعدام الدخل فمع تدمير مشروعي وتوقف الحياة الاقتصادية لا تملك عائلتي أي دخل يومي أو شهري نهائياً وثانياً غلاء المعيشة فالأسعار لا تزال مرتفعة جداً ولا تتناسب مع وضعنا كعائلة نازحة فقدت كل شيء وثالثاً هذا الرابط هو حالياً شريان الحياة الوحيد لنا لتأمين لقمة العيش والاحتياجات الأساسية أطلب منكم الاستمرار في دعمنا فكل تبرع منكم يعني وجبة طعام أو دواء لعائلتي وإذا لم تستطع التبرع يرجى مشاركة الرابط ليصل صوتنا مع كل التقدير محمود وعائلته 

My name is Mahmoud a 20 year old from Gaza. Before the war, I was running my own internet network project and supporting my family with dignity. Today, after two years of war we lost our home, my project, and everything I owned. I want to deeply thank everyone who stood by us before because your support was the only reason for our survival, providing food and water for my family during the hardest times.

The truth is that the suffering is still ongoing. Our reality today, even though the war has changed its form, includes intermittent shelling that still threatens us. The destruction of the past two years has paralyzed all means of living. There is a total lack of income as my project is destroyed and the economy is collapsed. This leaves my family with no daily or monthly income at all. The cost of living is still very high, and do not match our situation as a displaced family that lost everything.
