My name is Mahmoud Abdel-Kareem Skaik I am 44 years old, from Gaza.
I’m married to Reham Ayyad and have kids and i’m the only provider to my family.
During this devastating war, I lost my father. He was receiving dialysis treatment at the hospital when the hospital was bombed, and he was martyred.
In a desperate attempt to bring food back to my wife and children, I went to an area declared “safe” by the Israeli army. But instead of safety, I was met with bullets. I was shot, and as a result, I lost both of my legs.
The amputation was done without anesthesia because in Gaza, anesthesia is reserved only for what doctors consider the “most extreme” cases. They did not consider losing both of my legs an extreme case. I went searching for food hungry and returned home without my legs.
Now, my life has completely changed. I can no longer walk, I can no longer work, I can no longer provide for my family.
Instead of being the one who takes care of them, I have become a burden on them something that breaks my heart every single day.
How the funds will be spent and how I plan to get them :-
What I need now is your kindness and compassion. I am raising funds as my last hope:
• To get prosthetic legs so I can regain some mobility and dignity.
• To afford food, water, and medicine for myself, my wife, and my children in these unbearable circumstances.
• To give my family a chance to survive and rebuild even a small part of what we have lost.
the process of receiving the money will be like that: the beneficiary in the USA will receive the money and send them to me in Gaza
Every donation, no matter how small, means the world to us. Your support is not just financial help , it is a lifeline. It is hope in a place where hope is disappearing.
Please, if you can, help me stand again help me provide for my children
help us survive.
With gratitude,
Mahmoud Skaik
