This is my good friend Mahlia. Yesterday, she was falsely convicted of having her car in an illegal spot, and it was towed without her knowledge. This forced her to miss band rehearsal as she had to go get her car. However, when she got there, the truck towing her car hadn’t showed up yet, and she had to wait until after hours to get her car. Because of the late hour, the impound lot charged her $315. This, along with the $2,000 she paid earlier in the day for bills and tuition, took out all of Mahlia’s savings in one day.

This was not the first offense Mahlia’s apartment complex had against her. She has had to sleep in her car due to the lack of maintenance access in her complex when she lost her keys. Mahlia currently works every day until 2 am to make enough money to support her in college, and spending all her savings in one day on things she can’t control has taken a toll. Mahlia is an amazing human being and didn’t deserve anything that has happened. The lack of assistance from her complex is frustrating, and I want to help her out. Anything and everything helps!
