I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my dear friend, Mahina Hoepner, and her family. Mahina and her family are going through a very challenging time. She and her family now need our financial help and support.

Our dear Mahina is bravely facing cancer, and she needs our help to get through this challenging time. Her journey has been filled with countless medical appointments, long travel to treatments, and ongoing care that has made daily tasks harder and impacted her independence. Her husband, Ryan, has been her biggest support by caring for her in all the ways that he can, keeping her positive, being her caregiver and the chauffeur to and from all the appointments and treatments, as well as helping with homeschool. Anyone who knows Ryan knows that he is a dedicated hard worker. But, being the primary caregiver has limited his work availability.

Mahina is a loving mother of 5, a loving wife, the heart of her family and the glue that holds everyone together. She loves to bake, cook, and spend quality time with her family. She homeschools her kids, tends to her garden, and finds peace in nature - simple joys that keep her spirit strong even on the toughest days. Through it all, Mahina’s spirit remains unbroken, but she can’t do it alone.

Between ongoing treatments, medical appointments, and the physical toll of her illness, everyday life has become increasingly difficult. She is doing everything she can to stay strong for her children, but she needs our help.

We are raising funds to help cover ongoing medical care, medications, future travel for treatments, and alternative medical treatments that are not covered by insurance. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference and will help Mahina focus on healing, spend more time with her family, and maintain her independence during this difficult journey. No mother should have to face this fight alone - especially while worrying about how to provide for her children.
