Support Naragani Hari Mahesh Babu’s Emergency Brain Surgery and Recovery

Naragani Hari Mahesh Babu, a bright and hardworking recent Master’s graduate and international student from UNT in the U.S., has been battling a life-threatening medical emergency. For over two weeks, he has been hospitalized at Medical City in Frisco, Texas, after they moved to Medical city of Plano and being admitted with severe headaches, persistent hiccups, and extreme weakness.

Doctors diagnosed him with Hydrocephalus, a serious neurological condition caused by an abnormal buildup of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in the brain, leading to dangerous intracranial pressure.

Mahesh has already undergone two urgent brain surgeries, the first to relieve the immediate pressure, and a second to address a fluid filled cavity. Unfortunately, his condition remains unstable. His medical team has now recommended a third and final procedure: the placement of a permanent brain shunt to continuously drain excess CSF and prevent life-threatening complications.

This is not the first time Mahesh has faced such a challenge. Five years ago, he had a brain shunt implanted in India. The recurrence of this condition makes the current situation even more complex medically and financially.

As an international student who has just completed his Master's degree and is already managing significant educational loans, Mahesh now faces a crushing financial burden. Insurance coverage is limited, and urgent funds are needed to cover:
