Months ago, we came to you all with an ask to support with raising funds for Maher Tarbishi’s legal fees after he was suddenly and inhumanely kidnapped by ICE and taken hundreds of miles away from his home and family. Now, we are asking that you please consider donating to support the family of Maher Tarabishi during this devastating and unimaginable time in their loss.

It is with intense grief and heartbreak that we share with you all the passing of Wael Tarabishi, Maher’s son, for whom he was the primary caretaker for his entire life. Wael has passed today after 30 days in the Mansfield Methodist Medical Center, where he has spent the better part of the past month in the ICU. To Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return.

We ask that you pray for Wael, Maher, and the Tarabishi family. We also ask that you donate to them as they are facing unexpected and overwhelming financial expenses, including emergency medical costs, lost income, and basic living needs. After a long and hard battle with Advanced Pompe Disease, and in light of months of suffering due to the kidnapping of his father by ICE, Wael’s body could no longer handle the stress. We have said before that Maher’s daily presence in Wael’s life was not optional; rather, it was essential to his survival and well-being.
