Aloha, my name is Mahealani, and while my ohana did not get the worst of the Kona Storm, the winds broke a window in my hale and water streamed in, ruining the things I use to go to school. We are right next to Iao River and you could feel the boulders moving the 'aina and the force of the water like I've never seen before.

I had to drop out of school because my computer was ruined from water damage while also attempting to make repairs without our landlord's kokua. Being a full-time student with a family of 3 and one dog, these unexpected costs are not something we planned or can afford.
