Support Mahdi (Arad) and His Family on the Long Road to Recovery

Hi, our names are Elisa, Rebecca and Gina and we are friends and neighbours of Mahdi’s (Arad) family. With the full approval of the family, we share his story to ask for love, support, help and prayers during an incredibly difficult time.

On February 2nd Arad was on his way to his school, Terry Fox Secondary and was tragically struck by a car, while crossing the intersection at David and Coast Meridian in Coquitlam, BC.

He is currently still in the ICU, where he remains under close medical care. He is fighting bravely, but the road ahead will be long, uncertain, and filled with intensive medical care, rehabilitation, and ongoing support.

Right now, Arad’s family is living every moment focused on what matters most: his healing. No family should have to worry about finances while sitting beside a hospital bed, holding onto hope.

This fundraiser is to help ease that overwhelming financial burden — to support Arad’s family with medical-related expenses, time away from work, travel, and daily necessities, so they can be fully present for him during this incredibly difficult time.
