Hi, my name is Mahagoney Witherspoon, and I’m a mom doing everything I can to keep moving forward for myself and my kids.

After being shot by my ex-boyfriend, my life changed forever. I was left in a wheelchair, and every single day since has been about adapting, healing, and refusing to give up. Even though I use a wheelchair, I’ve never stopped believing in my ability to progress.

I’m currently trying to raise funds for leg braces that will allow me to safely begin working on standing and walking again through therapy. These braces are a crucial part of my recovery, but unfortunately, they are very expensive and not fully covered by insurance.

Getting these leg braces would mean:

• The chance to strengthen my legs

• Progress toward standing and walking again

• Greater independence as a mother

• Hope for a better physical future

This journey hasn’t been easy physically, emotionally, or financially—

but I’m determined. I want my kids to see resilience. I want to show them that even when life knocks you down, you keep fighting.
