Hootie Hoo! I’m Magic (aka Jamie), owner of The Hidden Pocket — and proud human to my tie-dyed sidekick, Chakra Doodle.

In 2022, I took a leap of faith,, and hit the road to follow my dream: vending full-time at music festivals across the country. With a 7x16 Spartan trailer and a 2006 F-250 diesel, I built a rolling boutique full of color, love, and connection.

The Hidden Pocket isn’t just a mobile shop — it’s a vibe, a village, and a living, breathing space for magic to happen.

But This Year Tried to Break Me…

From breakdowns to blowouts, chemical burns to near-crashes, it’s been one wild ride. Here's the quick version:

April: My truck was struggling after a turbo replacement. Friends rallied to help me make it to Byrdfest — we made it on a prayer and brake fluid.

May: The F-250 died completely. I switched to my dad’s old F-150 — a sentimental backup — and kept going.

June: I lost my phone, burned my feet, melted a hubcap, and watched a tornado touch down near me. Still kept going.

July: A tire blew on the highway. My truck and trailer spun 360°. By some miracle, we didn’t flip. We’re alive. But everything’s totaled.

What I’ve Lost

This year took two trucks, one trailer, my mobility, and a whole lot of sleep. But it didn’t take:

My love for this weird, wonderful community

My belief in the kindness of strangers and the strength of chosen family

My commitment to showing up, no matter how hard the road gets

Why I’m Asking for Help

I’m not here to throw a pity party. I’m here because I believe in second chances — and I’ve seen what happens when people come together to lift each other up.

I’m raising funds to get a reliable diesel truck and a new trailer so I can get The Hidden Pocket back on the road, back to the festivals, and back to the beautiful, strange, magical life that feeds my soul.
