What started as a relaxing vacation in San José del Cabo quickly turned into a nightmare for our family. Magic Mike, a loving husband, father, brother, and friend was enjoying time away when he suddenly began having difficulty breathing.
At first, we thought it was something minor, but within 24 hours, his condition worsened. He was diagnosed with severe pneumonia, which rapidly led to a widespread infection. His body began to shut down, and he was placed in ICU.
Being in a foreign country made everything even more overwhelming and he wasn’t able to receive the care he needed. We were desperate to get him home where he could the receive proper care. Thanks to the kindness and generosity of so many, we were able to transport him from Cabo to Houston, Texas.
But the fight isn’t over. Mike is now on life support, and his condition remains extremely serious. Our family is doing everything we can to stay strong, but the emotional and financial toll is incredibly heavy.
