Hi everyone, we are organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my mother, Maggie, who has recently endured an incredibly difficult and life-changing event. Over the past few weeks, she has survived three strokes and now faces the challenges of relearning many aspects of her independence. These health complications have affected her ability to communicate and move, and she will need speech, occupational, and physical therapy as part of her recovery. Unfortunately, insurance will only cover so much leaving us to find out-of-pocket options for her continued care after discharge. If you know my mom, you know she is one of the kindest, most loving people you could ever meet. She has spent her entire life giving, supporting, and lifting others up, which makes this situation even more heartbreaking. My siblings and I are doing everything we can to care for her, but the financial strain will continue to be significant for our family. We want nothing more than to see our mom regain her independence and quality of life, but we need help to make that possible. We are simply asking our loved ones and friends to share this page and consider contributing. Any amount, no matter the size, will go directly toward improving her quality of life. These funds will help in many ways, whether that is for her to continue therapy to be able to independently drive again, or medical equipment that will help us care for her safely at home, and any other unexpected expenses during her recovery.
