Thank you for taking the time to read. Maggie is an incredible mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Up until a year and a half ago she was teaching high school history, running around with her grandchildren and singing in the choir at church. She has seen been diagnosed with ALS. 90% of the time, ALS symptoms come on very suddenly ("sporadically"). After a particularly stressful day at school while teaching, the next morning she woke up with some difficulty speaking, since then her symptoms started to progress very rapidly. She is now unable to sing at all, has much difficulty speaking and eating and can barely walk. In the meantime, she has been taking supplements which help provide anti-inflammatory as well as antioxidant support however it cannot stop the progression of the disease. Upon further testing we found out that she had a large toxic load of heavy metals, including mercury, lead, aluminum and barium. She has since detoxed from these heavy metals and also moved from an area that had high pesticide occurance. Unfortunately since the damage has already been done and this process has started, her motor neurons are dying and nothing has been known to stop this process. If it continues, all her motor neurons will die and she will eventually be unable to breathe. Until very recently there has been no known cure. There is a very new treat called hyperthermia (heat therapy) that has shown to actually reverse the condition entirely. The results are absolutely incredible and life saving. This groundbreaking treatment is not covered by insurance and although FDA approved and safe, patients must pay entirely out of pocket. This treatment unfortunately is very costly. One treatment alone is $50,000, which is shown to have great results but 2 rounds of treatment have been shown to have reversal.She is suffering tremendously, with her weakness growing every day.
