Those who have had the pleasure of knowing or meeting my mother know she is one of the sweetest souls on this Earth. She has a servant’s heart and always looks for ways to help others whenever she can.

Several months ago, she was diagnosed with Stage III colon cancer. Thanks to the help of close friends, we were able to get her scheduled for further examinations and surgery shortly afterward.

The surgery went well, and the cancerous tumor was successfully removed. However, cancer cells were found in the surrounding lymph nodes.

Currently, she is awaiting discharge from inpatient recovery as she works toward regaining her strength and being able to keep food down.

The coming weeks and months will include a second surgery, chemotherapy, home health care, and continued recovery. While we have done our best to prepare for these expenses, she has humbly asked me to seek the support of friends and family on her behalf.
