My name is Maggie O'Brien and I am a voice-over artist and work part-time at a local college.

As a voice-over artist, I have a subscription to BackStage, which is a place people can go to hire voice-over artists. I was contacted two weeks ago by a person stating that he wanted to hire me to do a voice-over for a company. We spoke several times via email about the process. I did my research; he seemed legit. Guess what!? He was not legit and now I am out $2,000.

I am now doing damage control and have reported it to my bank, the police, and Gmail. However, I am a person who really can't afford a $2,000 loss. That was over half of my account.
