Support Maggie Nee's Recovery After Brain Surgery
Donation protected
On Thursday, October 3rd, our dear friend Maggie Nee faced a critical health emergency that changed her and her loving husband Stephen’s life in an instant. After being found unresponsive following a nap, she was rushed to the E.R. in Wilmington, DE. The medical team quickly discovered that she had suffered a traumatic brain injury from a recent fall. She was airlifted to Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE, where she underwent emergency brain surgery to relieve pressure and control bleeding.
The surgery, which lasted several hours, was essential for stabilizing her condition. Following the operation, Maggie was transferred to the ICU to begin recuperating. The days that followed were filled with moments of both hope and concern as her health fluctuated. On Monday, October 7th, she experienced a seizure, prompting the ICU staff to act swiftly to manage her care.
Maggie now faces a long road to recovery, and is fighting hard. That said, medical expenses are rapidly accumulating. We’re asking family, friends, and coworkers for any contribution, big or small, to ease the Nee’s financial burden during this challenging time. Your donations will go directly toward her medical bills and ongoing rehabilitation. Anyone lucky enough to know Maggie and Stephen, knows how deeply they care for their loved ones. Just as they would open their hearts if the tables were turned, let’s open ours to them.
Stephen adds, “It will be a slow road, but she is very clearly ready and willing to make the journey. She is truly the strongest person I know. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Your support means everything to us!”
