My friend Magen gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on Halloween night.

Unfortunately, two days after the c-section, doctors had to perform emergency open abdominal surgery for a small bowel obstruction where they removed a large portion of her bowel. The surgery was so harsh that they had to leave her open for a day and finish the surgery the following day.

She developed a fever and found that her intestines were leaking bile in her stomach cavity. Because of that, she had 3 drainage tubes put in her belly to drain the bile and heal the leakage.

She has been in the hospital ever since. It is currently December 2nd.

Baby Oliver is being cared for by his grandmother and Magens 19 year old twins. Needless to say, this has taken a serious mental, emotional, and financial toll on Magen and her family.

We don't yet know when Magen will come home as there is talk of another surgery.

Her immediate needs are funds to cover her monthly bills. We are sure her medical bills are going to be astronomical, but we will cross that bridge when we get there.
