Magali Readmon has been a bright light at Mohawk Elementary for 13 years, bringing energy, laughter, and kindness to everyone she meets. As her coworkers, we’ve seen how much she means to our school family. Her positivity and warmth have made a real difference in the lives of students, parents, and staff.

Magali was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, and while this news was unexpected, we know she’s ready to take it on with her usual strength and positivity. Although she will not be returning to Mohawk this year while she focuses on her health, we want to rally around her and help alleviate the financial burden of medical expenses during her recovery. She’s already facing this challenge with courage, and we want to make sure she feels supported every step of the way. We’re starting this GoFundMe to help cover her insurance deductible and make sure she can focus on what matters most: healing, spending time with her husband and two kids, and getting back to the classroom she loves.
