I’m starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my friend Alice Ngwenya who is the beneficiary of this fundraiser. She was at my house on June 30th when she received the news that her brother, Madziva Tapera had passed away suddenly of coronary heart disease. Madziva came to Seattle from Harare, Zimbabwe in 2023 in order to work and support his family back home. He leaves behind his wife Madaline and their three children and many brothers and sisters. His family cannot afford to repatriate his body back to Zimbabwe and needs help. Cremation is not an option as Zimbabwe traditional beliefs strongly favor burial over cremation, viewing it as a disconnection from ancestral spirits. His body remains in Seattle until the money can be raised. Please donate if you can, anything helps.
