Madyson is my 22-year-old daughter, and she has always been a bright, active, and caring person. She married her husband Jeremy in November 2025, and together they started building a life full of hope and dreams. But in January 2026, everything changed when Madyson was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) just days after being admitted to the hospital. In a matter of days, she went from being healthy and independent to relying on a wheelchair for mobility.

Before her diagnosis, Madyson was enrolled in school and working part-time, but her medical condition forced her to take a leave from both. She also suffered the heartbreaking loss of her pregnancy just two weeks after the onset of GBS, and soon after, she was hospitalized again with a kidney stone. To make things even more challenging, Jeremy lost his job at the beginning of January. While it has been a blessing that he can be by her side and help with appointments, the loss of income has made their situation even more difficult.

Madyson now travels over an hour each way, three times a week, to see a specialized neuromuscular physical therapist—the closest and best option for her recovery. The costs of therapy, travel, and everyday living expenses are adding up quickly. I want to help them avoid getting buried in debt so they can focus on healing and rebuilding their lives.
