On December 13th, 2024 Madisyn Edwards who once was a lively outgoing girl that love to dance , play sports and giggle , went into cardiac arrest. The devastating event happened after Madisyn attended a doctor’s appt and was prescribed the wrong amount of medication. On that day Madisyn’s life took a horrifying turn. Since then Madisyn has spent countless months in the ICU. She is now unable to do anything on her own and requires 24 hour attention. Madisyns mother, Taelor has been with her every step of the way. Taelor, who also has another child that suffers from epilepsy is being stretched thin Trying to be in two places at once, while enduring a lot of unanswered question from an unforeseen circumstance. Madisyn is now on 22 different medications, majority of which are not covered by insurance. Taelor is solely responsible for all of Madisyns expenses including housing, medication and additional equipment that is needed for proper care for Madisyn to safely be at home. Taelor is unable to work a full time job because she is waiting for insurance to cover the expenses for a home nurse . Here is where every little bit helps.
