Support Madison's Recovery From Childhood Stroke

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Rob. On 25 June 2023, our 12 year old niece Madison woke up with a severe headache accompanied with other neurological symptoms indicative of a stroke. Within 20 minutes of waking up, she was being rushed to the hospital for life saving care. Initial scans revealed Madison suffered a brain bleed known as a hemorrhagic stroke.

There was no time for her to be life-flighted to a pediatric neurosurgeon, so Madison immediately underwent an emergency procedure to drain the pooling blood and decrease the pressure on her brain. The residual blood around her brain has limited doctors from determining the exact cause and location of the bleeding. She remains in critical condition in the Pediatric ICU and every day remains an immense struggle for her and her family. While recent days have been trying, we've seen encouraging signs from Madison such as her wiggling her toes, writing requests for water, and positively responding to verbal cues.

But, each additional day she remains in the PICU also means her family is accruing medical costs that no family should ever endure on their own. Once the cause of Madison's condition is identified and resolved, her road to recovery will also likely be long, difficult, and costly. Anything you are able to give will help get Madison through the fight of her life and help her family stay focused on her healing.
