Madison and her husband, Austin have committed their lives to helping others. Madison has her masters degree as a mental health therapist and Austin is a music therapist. This young couple is at the beginning of their married life together and at the beginning of their careers.
Madison and Austin now find themselves in a position where, instead of helping others, they need others to help them.
Life changed in an instant for both of them when, at just 29 years old, Madison suffered 2 strokes within a matter of 6 days. Instead of focusing solely on recovery, she and her husband, Austin, are now facing the overwhelming stress of medical bills and the possibility of not being able to cover basic living expenses. Though Madison is not medically cleared to work for quite some time, Austin has also not been able to work while he's been advocating on her behalf and he hasn't been at his job long enough to qualify for any sort of FMLA benefits. They are both currently without income.
For the next few months, Madison needs time to heal and regain strength. Unfortunately, the bills don't stop while recovery happens. Rent, utilities, groceries, transportation, and medical expenses continue to add up.
We're hoping to raise $8,000–$10,000 to help cover approximately three months of essential living expenses and medical costs. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward helping Madison and Austin remain safely housed, pay necessary bills, and focus on rehabilitation instead of financial hardship.
If you're unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, coworkers, and community would mean just as much.
Thank you for your kindness, prayers, encouragement, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
