Support Madison's Path to Salon Ownership

I’m raising funds for my best friend Madison and her Sisterloc business, Madisonlocs. We’ve know each other since middle school and have seen each other grown exponentially from career transitions to having a child. I am constantly inspired by her drive and her faith in God, her self and her business. Because of her consistent genuineness and generosity towards myself and many other women, I feel led and inspired to support this wonderful woman in any way possible. She really enjoys her craft as a Sisterloc Specialist and it means a lot to her to help women start their natural hair journey and be able to express themselves in the greatest way possible through their hair, and to give women a sense of freedom to be able to get up and go and still feel beautiful and look beautiful.

The only problem is that she does not have her personal salon suite. Myself and many others have experienced going to get your hair done at someone’s house, (a stranger's house) it can feel awkward already with meeting someone new. Inviting clientele to come into your space when you don’t know them can be a risk. On top of that, on the other end, going into someone’s space as a client and meeting for the first time can be kind of scary. Some of us don’t even want to go to a hairstylist if they don’t have their own suite or salon. Especially as someone new into the industry, there has to be a lot of trust built. To eliminate that extra concern and enhance comfort on both ends, a salon is what is catered towards.

So my goal is to raise $7000 to go towards a salon suite, decor, promotion, marketing, and furniture for Madison and her business, Madisonlocs, by the end of July, to help create that middle ground for herself and for her clientele so that she can really flourish with the talent that she has and the drive that she has for her business. The genuineness that she gives her clients and community will allow her to continue to build and continue to grow. That way, she can continue to give us women the ability to express ourselves through our hair and feel free from what may feel like a burden. Her clients deserve it and so does she. All of the proceeds will be going directly to her bank account to allow her to have full access to the funds immediately.
