Support Madison's Dream Role in Berlin

Hello! My name is Madison Riley and I am a 4th-year Undergraduate Voice Performance Major at Florida State University who is about to embark on a very exciting chapter in my life.

I heard about this program called "Dramatic Voices Program Berlin" via a previous high school voice teacher. I had no intention of applying for any summer programs because I was currently in the process of auditioning for various graduate school programs such as Eastman Conservatory, Maryland Opera Studio, and Peabody Conservatory at Johns Hopkins. However, she heavily encouraged me to apply, and I obliged.

In applying to the program, I found out they were putting on a production of Strauss's Ariadne auf Naxos. This opera is one of the reasons I became an opera singer. I specifically resonated with the lead female character, Zerbinetta. This role has always been a dream of mine to perform, and after submitting my application, I heard back from the program within 2 days. They generously offered me the role of Nyda in the main production and a cover role for the lead coloratura soprano, Zerbinetta.

My jaw nearly dropped to the floor. I feel so incredibly honored to be offered this role, and to be able to participate in this opportunity would leave me one step closer to achieving my dream. However, I need some help to achieve this dream.

Attending this once-in-a-lifetime program will allow me to seize my moment as a performer. This program will allow me to travel for the first time abroad, network with other amazing musicians, and gain guidance from current performers around the globe!

Due to the last-minute application, I haven't had enough time to save up for such an expensive opportunity. I currently work two jobs as a full-time student and do not have enough savings to make the first deposit within the next week.
