Support Madison West Ultimate Coaches 2024

Madison West Ultimate has been fortunate to have amazing coaches for decades.

Jacob 'Biz' Schlaefer is a Monona Grove alum (2015) who also plays professionally for the Madison Radicals and has been Head Coach since 2019. Ken Adams is a Madison Memorial alum and is in his second year as assistant coach to support our growing JV team. Jake Spiro has joined this year as coach providing additional support to the team. He has been assistant head coach for the Madison Radicals since 2013.

Despite these skilled and passionate coaches, they are volunteer positions and we would like them to be paid for their time and commitment. Team dues go towards tournament fees, fields, hotels for team travel but do not go towards coaches.

We encourage player families to give anonymously what they feel is appropriate to continue to support these coaches, current and future teams! For reference, a survey of local teams suggests that other Ultimate clubs pay their head coaches ~$1500 for the season and assistant coaches about half of that. In the past, our families have been beyond generous so anything contributed is helpful!
