Hello Fauth family and friends,
My name is Marissa, sister to Ethan, sister-in-love to Madi. As many of you know, back in 2020, Madi was involved in a horrific car accident resulting in a traumatic brain injury and her needing Labral repair surgeries in both her hips.
While Madi has made huge strides through therapy and surgeries in some aspects, she recently found out that she will have to have another surgery, a Labral repair revision. This surgery has an extensive recovery, requiring no to minimum weight on her hips for 6-8 weeks, or possibly longer.
Madi’s surgery is scheduled for mid-November in Vail where they will stay for a few days pre and post-op. The road to recovery will be long and consuming, physically, emotionally, and financially.
Madi will need a caregiver present with her to assist with daily living for this whole time as she won’t be able to put weight on her hips. They will need to hire a temporary caregiver for her and also childcare for their sweet baby. Ethan will be able to take off work for a short time, but not anywhere near long enough to take care of her during recovery. She will also have several follow-up appointments and therapies long after the 6-8 weeks.
All of these things will put a huge financial strain on them. Madi and Ethan both have huge hearts for others. Madi was a missionary to Haiti for several years and still has such a heart for Haiti. Ethan spent several years volunteering at Homestead Bible Camp and served as Camp Director for a year. Either would drop everything to help others. Now it’s our turn to help and support them.
The Fauth’s set goal will go towards:
- Hiring a temporary caregiver for Madi and Baby (will need full-time help for 6-8 weeks)
- Wound care supplies
- Transportation and hotel costs for post-op appointments and therapies

- As always, prayers! Pray for a quick recovery and that Madi’s pain will subside.
- Pray for Madi’s heart as she finds a new routine as herself AND as a mom not being able to care for baby the same as she has thus far and that they can find a new normal easily.
- Pray for Ethan as he provides for his family without being able to be there as I’m sure he wishes he could.
- Pray that they will be able to find a caregiver that fits their needs.
- Pray that this experience strengthens their marriage and faith as they go through yet another trying time.
We so appreciate everyone that took the time to read this, share this, donate, or all three. We may not have known about their needs until recently, but God did. We are thankful for His timing and that His mercies are new every morning.
