Hi, first off, I'd like to say my name's Madelyn. I don't like asking for handouts, but it's come down to rock bottom, and I just need compassion. As the days and nights get colder and colder, and as a winter storm pushes through my area in Upstate SC for the next two weeks at least, I will, as of Thursday , 1 day from now, be homeless along with my fiancée. We've hit hard times and lost our job and place to stay. While actively having in over 30 applications, we have yet to come across a job thus far the past two weeks. Not only that, we've run out of funds from staying in a hotel room and having to pay daily on that along with buying food, phone bill, etc. We don't have a car as we lost it to mechanical issues also, or we would be staying in it while trying to save and get ahead. But as they say, "when it rains, it pours." I'm not asking for a handout but also prayers and generosity, no matter what the amount, toward food and transportation/hotel funds while we are actively seeking a job and to keep us out of the COLD this Week!
