Support Madelin's Journey to Recovery
Donation protected
My daughter, Madelin, was in a serious car accident. She has been diagnosed with a Diffuse Axonal Brain Injury. The road to recovery is going to be long, and at this point, we are not sure exactly how much she will be able to recover. She is 17 years old, was already enrolled in college, and performing very well in school. All that, as well as the lives of her family, have come to a grinding halt.
This money is going toward renovations to the house for wheelchair accessibility and anything else we can do to the home to make her more comfortable when she is able to leave the hospital/inpatient rehab, as well as a handicapped accessible van to get her to her appointments over the next couple of years, and any insurance deductibles, as well as care that she will need beyond the scope of her insurance coverage.
As you can imagine, this has drastically impacted everyone around her. I, her father, have not been able to work full-time in the wake of the accident, trying to make sure she has everything taken care of. We all feel so helpless, but all we can do is wait and see how she recovers. This is the only thing I knew to do, to prepare for what is coming. Thank you so much to everyone that has donated. Words can never express the gratitude that I feel for you helping to ease this transition.
